Awareness day at Rufford County Park

Our fantastic colleagues Dan and Karen along with Wildlife Partnership Manager Geoff were at the wildlife awareness day at Rufford Abbey. We supplied tables, stickers, colouring sheets and display boards featuring wildlife rescues past and present. RSPCA Lincs Mid North East and Lincoln  loaned out branded equipment too.

ARO (Animal Rescue Officer) Karen said ‘ The event was held on Saturday 28th June.  Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue, Bransby Horses and us all attended,  It was a fantastic day and well attended. There was also a special guest, Bertie the dog who children loved having their photo taken with.  Kids were eager to discuss their favourite wildlife and how they do their bit to help.  Freebie stickers, magazines and sweets went down well too!  From a work point of view we gained some key contacts and ideas to support us in the field, one of the reasons events like these are important!’

Well done Karen, Dan and Geoff and especially Bertie the dog who strangely was never seen with Dan!
