We are moving

We are so excited as we have been waiting months to be able to share our news…Nottingham and Notts Branch is on the move. For the last 47 or so years, our home has been Hyson Green. However, we’ve outgrown the premises and after several incidents with anti social behaviour it’s time for us to relocate to pastures new.

Our buildings on Radford Road are typical 3 storey Victorian terraces. The stairs are very steep which don’t lend themselves to accessibility and inclusivity.  Reconfiguring the old place was not going to be cost effective.  That was the approach in 2010 when our cattery and small animal unit closed. We extended the shop and converted the upper floors to offices.

Finding a new branch home

Manager Jo has been scouting for suitable properties since the Trustees made the decision that it was no longer safe or viable for us to stay on the Green.  After what feels like eons, we’ve found new office space and hope in the near future to find another retail unit (or 2) but office relocation is where we are at. Our shop is in Eastwood and the new branch office is there too.

Thank you

We’d like to thank EVERYONE who supported us all the time we have been in Hyson Green. We’ve some longstanding, stalwart customers and supporters who have been so kind and generous over the years, our gratitude to you all is huge.  However, nothing stands still for long.  For us to further the branch and in turn assist more animals a new approach was needed.  That was impossible in this building.  We will continue our work as we move and also have some very exciting new projects in the pipeline but first we need to get packing!
