Please read the following carefully. There are two ways to report incidents of cruelty, mistreated, neglected, injured or distressed animals OR to get advice out of office hours. Read our checklist to help you identify the information we may ask for when you contact us.
You can call the RSPCA 24 hr Line on 0300 1234 999
The RSPCA 24hr Line is the easiest way to report animal cruelty, mistreatment or to get advice. You can call 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Calls charged at your local rate from a BT Landline and mobile. Calls from other networks may vary.
Alternatively, you can use the online report cruelty featurewhere you can submit details of animal cruelty and search for advice on animal welfare OR ask the virtual assistant at RSPCA National.
If this is an urgent issue then please call the number above.
We campaign for changes to the law and provide education and advice to pet owners. Some situations that may appear distressing are not against the law. In their daily work our inspectors have to prioritise cases where the law is actually being broken.
Do not contact this branch of the RSPCA to report animal cruelty as we are unable to help, you must use the two methods detailed on this page.
Disclaimer: The My RSPCA service and RSPCA Cruelty Line are not operated by this branch of the RSPCA, but nationally through the RSPCA headquarters. We cannot be held responsible for these services and the outcomes of your requests.
